Looking for accommodation in Goa (Sepetmeber, October)

My name is Vedrana and I'm from Croatia. I just have registered on Mapofi site and the reason is that my husband and I (and our little pet - dog, pinch, a small one) are planning a trip to Goa, Panaji in September 2008.
The thing is that we're going to stay for a long period of time in Goa - a year, so we need a flat or a house for a six months at least.
We are looking accommodation in Panaji exactly...
Can someone tell me about cheaper accommodation? Is it cheaper to rent a flat or a house for a 6 months to a year?

It would be very nice to hear (read) some answers from you!

Regards,

Vedrana (vedra33).

hi! thnx for your responses! I found via internet a house in Siolim for 190 dollars a month, I met a nice lady (Portugese origin) from Goa who shall rent us the house... Regarding the flat in Panaji is a still good idea because we are planning some business there; I don't know the range of investment, I mean, average prices of rent would be o.k. ... Thank you Shan and Alex - will contact you on mail! :-)

I agree to what alex is suggesting. Also Alexander it would be great if you can post your available properties on www.mapofi.com and place the links here on the discussion forum. That way everyone will get benefited. In between I am supporting Portugal and love Christiano Ronaldo.

Hi Vedra, I would suggest renting a flat would be much better price wise. In fact what s the range of investement you are looking for to shell out on rent. On that basis I can suggest you some options that would be suitable to you. Regards, Shan
